About Us

We are Ray and Jo, the owners of In Perspective Hobby Shop. 

In Perspective has been on the south coast of England for nearly 40 years. Starting out on George Street, in Hastings in the 1980s, it became known as an 'Aladdin's cave' for artists, with its array of quality art supplies packed into a tiny shop in the old town and a picture framing service. 

In Perspective grew from there and moved along the coast to Bexhill. Model kits, a selection of tools and various craft supplies and materials were added to the shop, bringing in more creative customers from the area. 

We took over the shop in Bexhill in 2015 and later moved to the Langney Shopping Centre in Eastbourne, amid the COVID pandemic in 2020. Most recently we have moved back on the high street, quite literally, in Polegate.

Over the years we have built on the amazing range of products and service developed by the previous owner and have added card making classes to our offering. 

In Perspective continues to be known locally as a treasure trove for artists, crafters and model makers of all ages and stages to get supplies and inspiration. 

Our physical location is on the High Street in Polegate, your one stop shop for everything creative. In Perspective is an art shop, a craft shop, a model shop and a bespoke picture framing shop.

Now we are expanding again to develop our presence online so we can bring our wide range of products at affordable prices and quality of service to more people.
